Privacy Policy

1. About this policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Perilune (operated by Bloom Studio, Bunbury, Western Australia) collects, uses, stores, and protects your personal information when you use perilune.com.au.

By using Perilune, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

Perilune is committed to complying with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

2. What information we collect

Waitlist and contact information: If you join our waitlist or contact us, we collect your name and email address.

Wellbeing check-in responses: If you complete a wellbeing check-in, your responses are stored locally on your device only and are not transmitted to our servers.

Health Snapshot responses: If you use the Health Snapshot feature, health information you enter is sent to our AI processing service to generate a response and is not stored on our servers after the session ends.

Technical information: We collect standard technical information including your IP address, browser type, and device type for security and performance purposes.

We do not require you to create an account to use the platform during the current pilot phase.

3. How we use your information

We use your information to provide and improve the Perilune platform, send you information you have requested, monitor platform security, and respond to your enquiries.

We do not use your information for advertising. We do not sell your information to third parties.

4. AI processing and third-party services

Anthropic (Claude AI): When you interact with the AI guide or use the Health Snapshot, your messages are processed by Anthropic's Claude API. Anthropic does not use API inputs and outputs to train their models by default. See anthropic.com/privacy.

Supabase: We use Supabase for database infrastructure. Data is hosted in accordance with Supabase's data processing agreements.

Vercel: Our platform is hosted on Vercel, which processes standard technical information as part of hosting and content delivery.

5. Sensitive health information

Health information you enter into the Health Snapshot is processed in real time and is not retained on our servers after your session ends.

Responses you write in therapeutic sessions are processed by the AI guide to generate responses within your session and are not currently stored on our servers during the pilot phase.

Wellbeing check-in responses are stored locally on your device only.

6. Crisis disclosures

If you disclose content suggesting you may be in crisis, Perilune will display Australian crisis resources including Lifeline (13 11 14), Beyond Blue (1300 22 4636), and 13YARN (13 92 76). We do not report crisis disclosures to any authority or third party. If you are in immediate danger, please contact emergency services on 000.

7. Data retention

Waitlist information is retained until you request removal or the waitlist is closed.

Session data and wellbeing check-ins are stored on your device only and cleared when you clear your browser data.

Server logs are retained for up to 90 days for security monitoring.

8. Your rights

Under the Australian Privacy Act, you have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, request correction of inaccurate information, make a complaint about our handling of your information, and request deletion of your personal information.

9. Data security

We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information. Our security measures include server-side API key management, rate limiting on API endpoints, and use of established third-party infrastructure providers.

No method of internet transmission is completely secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

10. Children

Perilune is designed for women in perimenopause and midlife transition and is not intended for anyone under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes by posting a notice on the platform. The date at the top of this policy indicates when it was last updated.
